Italian Salad With Fresh Bocconcini Mozzarella Cheese

This Italian Food Favorite in Salad Recipes is also known as Caprese Salad... Nestled on a Bed of Crisp Romaine Lettuce with Sliced Roma Tomatoes, Fresh Basil Leaves and topped with Italian Dressing and Stuffed Olives is a Crisp Tasty Pick... Delicious!

Italian Salad, also known as Caprese Salad, is a delicious choice in Salad Recipes. With Olive OIl Vinaigrette Dressing and slices of fresh Mozzarella Cheese, Roma Tomatoes, topped with Stuffed Olives, freshly Grated Italian Cheese and fresh chopped Sweet Basil, this favorite in Italian Food is a winning pick.

This is probably one of my favorites in Italian Recipes for one of the best tasting Italian Salad. Served on individual serving plates, I find that this Italian Food Favorite in Salad Recipes is so easy to put together and looks so elegant on those plates.

This Italian Salad is great along side of one of your choices in Mediterranean Recipes, How about Spaghetti Sauce And Meatballs with a Garlic Bread toasted with a fresh garlic butter spread? You won't be able to resist this favorite and there won't be one crumb left in that bowl! This is a given tradition in our family and the smiles just don't stop!

How about starting off your Italian Food Feast with a couple of choices in the Appetizer Recipes? A couple of my favorites is the Artichoke Dip along side some Homemade Tortilla Chips and some fresh sliced French Bread would be a great choice, sip on a favorite from the Drink Recipes while enjoying some good eats and laughs!

Italian Salad - Caprese Salad

6-8 large romaine lettuce leaves, torn

4 fresh roma tomatoes, sliced

2 fresh Bocconcini Mozzarella Cheese, medium size, sliced

1/2 cup packed sweet basil, chopped

4 cloves fresh garlic, minced fine

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper corns

1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning

1/2 cup extra virgin Italian olive oil

4 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

1/2 cup fresh Asiago cheese, grated

4 sweet basil leaves, whole

On separate serving plates or bowls, lay in torn romaine lettuce leaves. On the top of the romaine, place the sliced roma tomatoes, then layer with the sliced Bocconcini.

In shaker cup, add 1/2 cup of sweet basil, fresh garlic, kosher salt, ground pepper corns, Italian Seasoning, italian olive oil, balsamic vinegar and 1/4 cup of the fresh asiago cheese. Shake well to mix. Taste and add extra seasonings spices to your own taste preferences.

Pour over top of Bocconcini on each of the plates. You may have leftover salad dressing, this keeps well in the fridge for another time.

Sprinkle with remaining Asiago cheese and place fresh sweet basil leaves as garnish on each bowl.

This salad dressing recipe doubles very well.

Some Cooking Hints for leftovers with the Salad Dressing Recipe, might be to Pour over any of your other choices in green salads. You can use as one of the great quick and easy recipes for a topping when baking chicken breasts or pork chops. Just pour over your choice of meat and bake in the oven. Or use as a great dipping sauce for your Focaccia bread. Works absolutely fabulous! Doesn't that sound good, a Focaccia Bread dipped in a delicious Salad Dressing on your Caprese Salad, Yummy!
