Buttermilk Biscuits With

These go great as a light flaky menu add on to your Roast Turkey. Another great suggestion might be the Prime Rib Roast. I like to make a double batch and have Biscuits and Gravy for a weekend treat or a late breakfast with one of the favorites in Breakfast Recipes,

3 cups all purpose flour

2 tablespoons white sugar

4 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon table salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

3/4 cup (1 1/2sticks) chilled butter, cut into 1/4-inch pieces

1 1/4 cups buttermilk

1/2 cup aged or medium cheddar cheese

1/2 cup mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup asiago cheese or parmigiano reggiano

Preheat oven to 425°F.

In a large mixing bowl, blend together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda, whisking together until well combined.

Add butter, either using a pastry blender or your hands, combine butter until mixture is coarse and crumbly.

Add buttermilk and your 3 types of cheese and stir until evenly moistened, add more buttermilk if necessary.

Onto non stick baking sheet, drop biscuits spacing 2 inches apart, about 1/4 cup for each biscuit.

Bake until biscuits are golden brown on top, about 15 minutes. Cool slightly.

Serve warm with fresh butter. These will melt in your mouth!

Makes about 24 biscuits.
