Do you make Meatloaf for the family every now and again and are looking for something with a bit more flavor? This juicy moist version in Italian Recipes is one of our family's favorites. The kids love this melt-in-your-mouth favorite in what I call comfort foods.

I like to serve this Meatloaf with a favorite Pasta Sauce and one of the kids picks in Noodles. The favorite in our house is the Bow Ties with the Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce. With a choice in Salad Recipes to go along side, those little smiles of pleasure will tickle you into grinning too.

1/4 cup extra virgin Italian Olive Oil

1 pound extra lean ground beef

1 pound Italian Sausage or ground pork

4 cloves fresh garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning

1 cup dried Italian breadcrumbs

3/4 cup Parmesan Cheese

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon fresh ground peppercorns

4 slices Mozzarella Cheese, sliced into 1/4 - 1/2 inch rounds

4 slices Provolone Cheese, sliced into 1/4 - 1/2 inch rounds

2 cups Tomato Spaghetti Sauce

1/4 cup fresh grated Parmesan Cheese

In large mixing bowl, mix together, Italian olive oil, ground beef, ground pork, fresh garlic, Italian seasoning, Italian breadcrumbs, salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Grease loaf pan with a light coating of butter or spray with non stick spray. Non stick pan can also be used.

With half of the meat mixture, shape into bottom of loaf pan, smoothing out meat mixture.

On top of smoothed meat mixture, pour 1/2 cup tomato spaghetti sauce over meat and lay sliced pieces of Mozzarella on top. Pour 1/2 cup of tomato spaghetti Sauce over Mozzarella and smooth.

With remaining meat mixture lay over top of Mozzarella and tomato spaghetti sauce, shape into loaf pan and smooth top. Lay sliced Provolone over top of meatloaf and top with remaining 1 cup of tomato spaghetti sauce.

Cover loosely with foil

Bake in over at 375 F for 45 minutes. Remove from oven, remove foil from top.

Sprinkle with fresh grated Parmesan Cheese and bake for another 15 minutes until bubbly and cheese has melted.

Makes 4-6 Servings.

Serve and Enjoy.
