1 (12 ounce) bottle chili sauce

2 teaspoons lemon juice

9 ounces grape jelly

1/4 cup Dijon mustard

1/2 pound lean ground beef

1/2 pound pork sausage

1 egg, beaten

1 large onion, finely diced

4 fresh garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

kosher salt, to taste

fresh ground pepper corns, to taste

In large mixing bowl combine together ground beef, pork sausage, egg, onions, 2 of the fresh garlic cloves-minced, Italian seasoning, salt and fresh ground pepper (add to your liking for taste the salt and pepper).

Mix beef and pork mixture until well combined. Form into about 1 1/2 inch round bites and place onto large baking sheet lightly greased or spray with non-stick cooking spray.

Bake in oven at 350 F for about 20 - 30 minutes, or until browned, turning half way through.

While your tasty round bites are browning in oven, in a medium sized sauce pan over medium heat, whisk together chili sauce, lemon juice, grape jelly, 2 minced fresh garlic cloves and dijon mustard until heated and mixed well.

Pour into either a crockpot set on low or simmer in large saucepan.

Remove cooked meatballs with tongs from baking sheet and place in crockpot with sauce, (you will have some grease on baking sheet from the pork, you don't want to add that into the sweet and sour sauce.)

Cook in crock pot on low for about 2 - 3 hours.

Pour into large serving bowl with toothpicks or small forks and serve. These are fantastic!
