I just love making this favorite, with the extra creamy Cheese Sauce, I really think this is one excellent choice for Comfort Foods. Macaroni and Cheese Dinner is the ultimate, with three of the most flavorful types of cheese, this makes a blend of fantastic flavors for one of the most tastiest and creamiest favorite.
With this popular Macaroni and Cheese, I like to bring this favorite up three notches and with the creamy Cheese Sauce you truly won't be disappointed with this excellent choice in Main Dish Recipes! The family really loves this one, and they don't even know that it takes no time at all to make. Not only just for kids, this favorite is really popular with the adults too! They'll love this great favorite! A great suggestion that I like to do is bring this Macaroni and Cheese to a dinner party or even a Outdoor BBQ get-together, it's always a hit!
Another great idea would be to serve this excellent choice with some fresh Garden Vegetables for a fantastic Veggie Platter, add some Ranch Dressing or a Creamy Blue Cheese Dressing on the side for dipping. How about adding a nice fresh Garlic Bread Recipe made with Fresh French Bread or italian Bread? 1 package pasta shells (your favorite - Ziti is one of ours)
4 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
2 cups milk
1 package Philadelphia Cream Cheese
2 cups aged Cheddar Cheese, shredded
2 teaspoons dijon mustard or spicy brown mustard
1/2 teaspoon table salt
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground peppercorns
3/4 cup dry Italian bread crumbs
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
1/4 cup Asiago cheese, shredded
1/4 cup Romano or Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4 cup Provolone cheese, shredded
Tip: 1 - 8 oz. package of Italian Cheese Blend can be used instead of Asiago, Romano or Parmesan, Mozzarella and provolone cheese for a handy hint for timesavers.
Cook and drain Pasta Shells.
In large pan melt butter on medium heat, whisk in flour until smooth.
Gradually add milk still whisking, until mixture comes to boil, cooking and whisking for 2 minutes.
Whisk in both the Philadelphia Cream Cheese and Cheddar Cheese, mustard, salt and pepper, whisk until mixture in smooth.
Add pasta to cheese sauce and stir to coat.
Pour mixture into a large casserole dish.
Melt 2 tablespoons butter and toss with italian bread crumbs, asiago cheese, romano or parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese and provolone cheese (or 1 - 8 oz package of Italian Cheese Blend ) and parsley.
Crumble italian Cheese Bread Crumb mixture over top of pasta.
Place on Middle Rack in oven.
Bake at 375 F uncovered for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes 6-8 servings.
